While in California we had the awesome experience of shooting Uttama and Hans' engagement session. Because we were traveling from the East Coast, the only chance for this was while we were in town for the wedding! Even with a couple summer colds and all the pre-wedding craziness, we still managed to get the shoot in the day before the wedding!!!! Luckily for us, Hans and Uttama had the brilliant idea to go to the famous Wild Flour Bread Bakery in beautiful Sonoma County. They had a lush garden growing right in their back yard that provided the perfect backdrop. We also managed to squeeze in a walk across the street to the Osmosis Day Spa Santuary where Uttama and Hans celebrated a special anniversary a few years ago. Their tranquil meditation garden even had us feeling relaxed! Uttama and Hans are such natural people and the setting fit them just perfectly. Gabriel and I are still amazed at how relaxed these two were for an "engagement session" less than 24 hours from their big day! Thanks for all the fun and cooperation Hans & Uttama! You guys were super!
Getting warmed up...

This bread was amazingly hearty!

Entering the gardens...

These two were so excited!

Uttama showing off her traditional Indian wedding henna.

The bakery had an amazing garden with the most gorgeous, vivid colors!

Uttama's bold style is all her own!

In the wildflowers.

Props to Hans for spotting this old gas tank and deciding to take a couple of shots with it...the lighting under this tree was perfect!

Some words of wisdom from the meditation garden.

Pre-wedding meditation.

Beautiful Uttama.

Uttama relatives flew in all the way from India to apply her wedding henna a day earlier. The henna was absolutely stunning.

For it being the eve of their wedding, these two were cool as cucumbers the entire session!

This old truck was just begging to have it's picture taken...

California love.
