This weekend we had an engagement session with Patrick and Heather. We were scoping out locations for the shoot on Saturday and just happened to find the perfect location at the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory at Druid Hill Park. They were great subjects and put up with all of our crazy ideas. Here are some of our favorites from the weekend.
In front of the Conservatory...what an impressive building!
Checking out the Desert House.
A pretty awesome-looking cactus.
Some lovin' in the Tropical House.
Heather looking stunning!
Some foot action.
...on to Federal Hill.
On the streets of B-more.
Being goofy after a long day.
The football shot.
A kiss goodnight.
Heather and Apia really hit it off. I wonder why Pat looks so worried?
Thanks for brunch and for an awesome time you two!

Happy Easter
We just returned from celebrating Easter in Wilmington, NC with our families. We stayed just long enough to all come down with a terrible stomach virus. It was wonderful to see everyone, but it's nice to be home where we are slowly recovering. Here are some highlights from the weekend.
Jesse held still just long enough for us to get this one.
Taking in some of that North Carolina sun!
Scary face!
Papa calms an ailing Apia.
Grabbing hold of some chimes.
Tasi takes a pose.
Getting into the spirit of Spring!
Elizabeth and Apia play peek-a-boo.
Playing ball with his Abuelita.

Sushi Night
This weekend some friends treated us to some amazing homemade sushi...just check out the spread. Of course Apia decided to stay up for most of the sushi-making which was entertaining. It looked and tasted amazing! Thanks Dave and Danielle!
Danielle, the hostess with the mostest.

Evidently, the H-Mart is the Charm City's spot for sushi-grade fish.
Brittany...one of the most relaxed dogs I've met, especially in front of a camera!
Reaching for a new toy...Apia's teething now and the smooth, cool edges of bottles are just right.

A day in DC
This weekend we took a break (an ultra short one), from working on the bathroom. Our favorite organist is getting married this summer and a bridal shower was held in her honor. (Congratulations one more time Elizabeth-Jane!) It was also our first trip to DC since before Apia was born so we made sure to see some other folk while down south too. We've now decided that we should go to DC more often. It was sooo nice to see everyone and to forget about tile and grout and plumbing for a day! Between all the visiting we were able to snap a few shots. Here are some highlights from the day...

O, and if you haven't noticed these photos are a little bigger than usual. (I'm not crazy about messing with html stuff, but I think it helps show detail & color much better). Let us know what you think.
Jenny didn't quite know what to make of all of that baby drool. Apia didn't quite know what to make of his new found friend.
As you can see these two quickly warmed up to each other after some coffee and a muffin.
This boy is getting chunky, huh?!

Presents and flowers and cards.
The bride to be (her sister and mom look on in the background). This girl is like us and loves food...hope there are some good recipes in there Elizabeth-Jane!
