On Saturday, our friends Seth and Lee had their baby shower at the Pagoda at Patterson Park. Most of the attendees were Seth's classmates from Johns Hopkins Med School... and an overwhelming majority of them were from North Carolina. It was nice to feel like we were back in North Carolina for an afternoon! Lee and Seth are getting excited nearing the arrival of Baby Jared. (Hopefully, he won't make an appearance too early so we can get in a maternity shoot !) Congratulations again Lee and Seth, and welcome Baby Jared!
Lee was glowing with excitement!
Apia was eating up all the attention as the only baby in attendance.

Joel in Town
This past weekend Joel came up for a visit (most likely his last visit as a single man- he's getting married at the end of May!). We were able to take it easy, play some frisbee, swing by the farmer's market, eat some Chipotle, and cook some chicken on the grill. What a way to spend the weekend!
Playing frisbee on the quad...Apia is apparently not that interested!
Getting a kiss from Mama.
Wondering when he'll be old enough to eat a whole burrito from Chipotle...his parents' favorite restaurant.
Trying to stuff Joel's face in his mouth!

Friday Afternoon in Wyman Park
We finally had some warm, 80-degree weather in Baltimore this weekend, so we lathered some sunscreen on Apia and headed outdoors. On Friday afternoon, Apia and I ran into Charlotte at the playground at Wyman Park and we lounged around for a bit. Of course, we couldn't resist taking at least a few photos of Apia and his life-long (all 8 months of it!) friend, Jack.
Jack gives us a smile.
Chillin' with his Mama in the park.
Enjoying some story-time in the outdoors.
Jack shows Apia how to crawl.
Apia trying to figure out how to reach the toy truck before Jack.
Taking a break after a long afternoon of playing in the sun.

Johns Hopkins Walk
Apia and I have been loving these bright sunny days lately. Although today was a bit chilly, we had blue skies and lots of sunshine. Apia convinced me to walk him over to the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus for a photo shoot- we were definitely quite the spectacle!
Apia chillin' with his Mama on the Quad, chewin' on a stick .
...now making faces.
If Apia's lip isn't wet, his shirt is. It is hard to believe that he's 7 1/2 months old!
Taking in a bit of college life (notice the small plastic fork in Apia's hands...he now feels the need to hold something in both hands at all times).
A shot from the sculpture zoo (camels, owls, horses among others).
Apia's not so interested.
Letting me know it's time to go home.
